In 1983, india won World Cup & 87-year-old team India fan says she watched the match

On 2nd July, India beat Bangladesh to seal a place in the World Cup semi-finals. The Men in Blue now are getting closer to a 3rd World Cup title after sending the Bangla Tigers crashing out of the tournament.

There were a lot of notable performances in the match by Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, but the highlight of the game and the best performance of the match belonged to Charulata Patel. She is 87-year-old fan who is right now giving life goals to people.

The lady clearly stole the limelight at the ground as she was cheering Team India with great enthusiasm while also blowing on her flute every time the batsmen hit a boundary or the bowlers took a wicket and as soon the cameras were panning to her, she was attracting enough attention. Even the commentators began to admire her energy despite her age.

She is a big fan of the Men in Blue and is confident that India will win the World Cup. She went viral on internet and especially on Twitter as people hailed her spirit to be young at heart.

She won the respect of Virat Kohli too and after the game, the skipper put the Tweet which proves how much her support meant to him and the rest of the players. He even met her post the game and she also mingled with Rohit Sharma. This lady was there when India won their first World Cup 36 years ago.

She said – “When Kapil paaji won the World Cup in 1983, I was there as well”. “Whenever Indian cricketers come over (to England) to play, I pray for them. I am a big believe in Lord Ganesh and I have full faith that India will win. I bless the players, I hope they take care, do well and give us a chance to win,” she added.
