Cricketers that have the chance to replace Sanjay Bangar as India’s batting coach

Following India’s defeat to New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to recruit all-new coaches to train the Indian Cricketers.  The current staff can remain safe while the position of Banga is at risk according to the reports.  These are the five lengendary Cricketers that are apt for the batting coach position.

Rahul Dravid

Dravid has scored 13,288 runs at an average of 52.31 in 164 test matches. In 344 ODI matches, he has 10,889 runs. Rahul Dravid has collaborated with the head coaches of the national men’s and women’s team and is good at the training methods.  He’s been the head coach of the India U19 team since 2015. Dravid’s intelligent gameplay can help the Indian batsmen handle the challenges of foreign players that usually put forward swinging conditions that are difficult for men in blue.

Ricky Ponting

Ricky has an average of 51.85, and scored 13,378 runs in 168 test matches. His 375 ODI matches made 13,704 runs. He is known for his unique batting skills and can help the Indian batters to give their best.  He has already been a coach of IPL’s Mumbai Indians team from 2015 to 2017. He has worked with  top Indian players like Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya that can help him grab the job.

Jacques Kallis

Kallis has scored 13,289 runs in 166 test matches at an average of 55.38.  In 328 ODI matches has did 11,579 runs. He has been the batting consultant for KKR in IPL 2015 and went on to become the head coach of the franchise. As he is no.longer the coach of KKR, he might be the batting coach for the Indian team.  His calmness is what players has to adapt.

Micheal Hussey

Mr. Cricket, Michael Hussey has scored 6235 runs in 79 Test matches at an average of 51.53. He also has 5442 runs in 185 ODIs for Australia. Hussey is one of the most professional players, especially in T20 cricket.

Stephen Fleming

The former captain of Kiwi scored more than 7000 runs in 111 Test matches and 8037 runs in 280 ODI matches.

He has been the coach of the Chennai Super Kings for a long time now and has bagged 3 IPL titles along with Dhoni.  His experience as a coach can help the Indian players a great deal.
