Bollywood Actors Worked In Different Films Of Same Title

A film’s title is something which makes first impression on audience as it is expected to give the gist of a film. However in film industry, we have seen that many movies share a similar title. As Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Sooryavanshi is titled similar to Salman Khan starrer 1992 supernatural thriller.

So, let’s have a look at the actors who starred in two different movies of the same name:  

1. Amitabh Bachchan

Iconic Deewar was directed by Yash Chopra and it released in 1975. It was a story about two brothers fighting against each other. The next Deewar: Let’s Bring our Heroes Home directed by Milan Luthria was about the prisoners of war and how they return to their nation.

2. Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor’s first Jhootha Kahin Ka released in 1979 and it was about a mechanic who doubles up as a con man. His second Jhootha Kahin Ka is about two best friends, Varun (Omkar Kapoor) and Karan (Sunny Singh) who weave a web of lies that creates a confusion between their families (Rishi Kapoor and Jimmy Sheirgill).

3. Dharmendra

Dharmendra did two film with the same title. One released in 1987 which was about Inspector Amar (Dharmendra), who hires Qasim (Shatrughan Sinha) and Karan (Karan Kapoor) to help him catch criminal Sher Singh (AmrishPuri). After 10 years, he again seen in Loha in 1997 which starred Dharmendra and Mithun Chakraborty. This film talked about the story of an ex-army officer and ex-police inspector who joined forces to kill mobster Lukka (Mohan Joshi) and his brother Takla (Rami Reddy).

4. Sanjay Dutt

Hathyar released in 1989 was based on the plot when the character after his father commits suicide due to poverty took the way of crime. The movie also starred Dharmendra and Rishi Kapoor alongside Sanjay Dutt. In 2002, he worked in Hathyar which was a sequel to Sanjay Dutt’s 1999 superhit film Vaastav.

5. Bobby Deol

The actor debuted in Bollywood with film Barsaat which released in the year 1995. It was a love triangle. And after ten years, he worked in a movie with same title Barsaat: A Sublime Love Story. It starred Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu and is again a love triangle.
