As per latest reports, actors Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotr, are gearing up for the release of their upcoming movie Jabariya Jodi. Both the actors are busy with the promotions of the flick.
The movie Jabariya Jodi is directed by Prashant Singh, and is based on the practice of Pakadwa Vivah, which literally means groom kidnapping. This type of practice is very much rampant in Bihar. The movie Jabariya jodi is expected to hit the big screens by August 2.
Jabariya Jodi stars recently talked on their upcoming film in an exclusive interview with media firm.
When asked about their roles in Jabariya Jodi, which are very different their actual personas, the actress answered, “I think the challenge and the excitement was to get into these roles that we had never done before. We had our director and writer, who are from UP and Bihar, throughout. Whether it’s the lingo, whether it’s the costumes, whether it’s the world or the characters, they were always there to help us. What we may see as difficult was actually an exciting challenge.”
On the other hand Sid said that when he has to don the role as Abhay Singh, the character was really challenging as compared to roles he played earlier.
He added that he did a lot of hard work and they all worked for about a month and a half to get the nuances right and work on the language.
On being asked that Jabariya Jodi touches upon the grave issue, he said, “Yes, I think we as a country are very influenced by what happens in Bollywood. Bollywood is a reflection of the mood of the nation.”
Recently, the two stars were seen trying the famous fire paan in Delhi. Both used their Instagram handles to share their unique experience with their social media fans. The actors uploaded photos and videos of them eating the fire paan and the video was a real treat for their fans and it got many shared and comments.
While sharing the video, Parineeti captioned it, “Sid (Sidharth) likes paan. I don’t. We are a jabariya jodi. Also, FIRE paan? Ummm @sidmalhotra.”
On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra shared his video and captioned, “Khaike paan Jabariya wala.”
