In entertainment industry, artists try more than the genre they are skilled in. Like actors are turning into director, producer, singer, writer etc. Just like actors, singers are also trying their hands in acting. There are many singers who have already given a try to acting.

So, let’s know who are these singers:

Himesh Reshammiya

The music director became very famous when he turned into a singer. Then, he tried his luck in acting and debuted with Aap Kaa Surroor – The Real Luv Story. He then was featured in films like Karzzzz, Radio, Khiladi 786 and The Xpose. His last film was Teraa Surroor, the sequel to Aap Ka Surroor.

Sunidhi Chauhan

Chauhan has been singing since she was 13 and the list of her hit songs is very long which includes Dhoom Machaale (Dhoom), Dance Pe Chance (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) and Girls Like To Swing (DilDhadakne Do). The singer also became a judge on Indian Idol 5 and 6 and turned coach recently for the Indian edition of The Voice (2015). She made her acting debut in the short film Playing Priya, which was produced by Humara movie and helmed by Arif Ali. It fantasy thriller.

Honey Singh:

Rapper YoYo Honey Singh too has acted in films like Boss and The Xpose besides a couple of Punjabi films such as Zorawar alongside actresses Gurbani Judge and Parul Gulati.

Anushka Manchanda:

She was a member of indie pop girl group Viva. In 2004, she started her career as a playback singer and in 2006, she sang for Hindi film Golmaal. The singer did a cameo in Dulha Mil Gaya and has also acted in Angry Indian Goddesses in 2015.

Monali Thakur:

The singer who rose fame to the Sawaar Loon from film Lootera made her Bollywood debut with the film Lakshmi.

Aditya Narayan:

Before making career in singing, Aditya Narayan acted with Salman Khan in Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai as a child actor. He then seen in Pardes and Rangeela. Then he turned a singer and has also hosted music reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs among others. He was last seen in Vikram Bhatt’s horror movie Shaapit.

Sonu Nigam:

He doesn’t know any introduction. The ace singer acted in films like Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Kash Aap Hamare Hote, Love in Nepal and other films.

Abhijeet Sawant:

The Indian Idol winner singer Abhijeet Sawant made his acting debut with the film Lottery. He also appeared at the end of the film Tees Maar Khan.

Ali Zafar:

Pakistani heartthrob singer-lyricist and composer Ali Zafar made his Bollywood acting debut with the film Tere Bin Laden in 2010. For the film, he bagged nomination for the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. He then appears in films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, London Paris New York, Chashme Baddoor and Total Siyapaa.

Kishore Kumar

He was a multi-talented artist. The singer-composer and lyricist Kumar is considered as one of the most successful playback singers who made his acting debut in 1946 with the film Shikari. He then worked in films hits like Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Half Ticket, Padosan, Paying Guest and several other notable films.
