India squads for Windies tour: MSD opts out, Virat to lead; Dhawan back in ODI side, Manish, Shreyas included

Amidst forceful assumptions over his prospect, ace wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni is not going to the West Indies with the India team.

Main selector MSK Prasad stated the Indian cricketer is not going to West Indies as he “voiced his unapproachability.”

Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya have been rested from the white-ball leg of the tour, and the latter isn’t part of the Test squad either.

The Test group was mostly along proposed lines, with Wriddhiman Saha making a come-back after 12 months period as one of two wicketkeepers together with Rishabh Pant.

R Ashwin, who hasn’t showcased international cricket ever since the Adelaide Test during December last year, and missed remaining Australia Tests with a side strain, is also a major part of 3 member spin contingent along with Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav.

The T20I and ODI groups comprise a pair of uncapped masters. Delhi fast bowler Navdeep Saini bagged a position in both, and Rajasthan leg spinner Rahul Chahar got a call-up to the T20I group.

Shikhar Dhawan, who left the World Cup halfway with a wrecked thumb, is also making a comeback in the ODI and T20I groups.

India will start their journey in Lauderhill, Florida on 3 August, with the initial two of three T20Is being played in the USA. The squads will also showcase their talent in 3 ODIs and 2Tests in the Caribbean.
