90th Birthday celebration of Kishore Kumar on 4th August

On the upcoming Sunday, that is on 4th August the FM radio, social media slickers, TV reality show experts and many more would be celebrating the 90th birth anniversary of Kishore Kumar. The legendary man although died very early at the age of 58, but he remained in the hearts of many forever and ever. Kishore Kumar was a multi talented man, he was a  singer-actor-entertainer-human Who will always remain in the heart of people.

Kishore Kumar was a multilingual singer and sang in several regional languages including Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Urdu.

On this Sunday, Jamshedpur Kalakar Manch (JKM) who promotes music talents and organizing musical shows with popular artistes from Mumbai, Kolkata and other places is going to organize ‘Ek Shaam Kishoreda ke Naam’ at Rabindra Bhawan Auditorium from 6 pm.

Briefing news persons today the JKM Patron and Jamshedpur Commercial Tax GST Department’s Assistant Commissioner Mithilesh Kumar, President Sanjiv Banerjee Tubai, Secretary Raja Barua, Vice President Vinit Srivastav and Treasurer Kiran Kumar stated that as in previous years, the tradition to honour immortal singer Kishore Kumar on his birth anniversary continues this year with ‘Ek Shaam Kishoreda ke Naam’ to be organized at Rabindra Bhawan on Sunday, August 4. Popular singers from Kolkata Ratul Das and Bapi Adhikari will perform this year along with local artistes.

Kishore’s songs in Aradhana(1969), DoRaaste (1969), Khamoshi(1969), Safar (1970), Kati Patang (1970), Amar Prem (1971), Haathi mere Saathi (1971), Dushman (1971), Apna Desh (1972), Mere Jeevan Saathi (1972) etc. are some of the songs that are even popular today.

He won 8 Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and holds the record for winning the most Filmfare Awards in that category. He was awarded the “Lata Mangeshkar Award” by the Madhya Pradesh government in the year 1985–86.

Some of the successful films of Kishore Kumar are  Ladki (1953), Naukari (1954), Baap Re Baap (1955), Paisa Hi Paisa (1956), New Delhi (1956), Naya Andaz (1956), Bhagam Bhaag (1956), Bhai Bhai (1956), Aasha (1957), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Dilli Ka Thug(1958).
