The Indian film actor and director Farhan Akhtar recently made headlines for his participation in the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week. We all know Farhan Akhtar is having a girlfriend Shibani Dandekar. Farhan is geared up to walk the ramp for the designer Payal Singhal at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Festive or Winter. He is not the only person to walk the ramp but also his girlfriend Shibani will join him.
The popular celebrity will mark the 20 years of Payal’s popular brand with her latest collection namely ‘#PS20’. Her collection is totally based on bohemian and gypsies culture. The popular designer Payal said that Farhan and Shibani are perfect for the clothing line. She thinks they both will totally befit the bohemian style.
It’s the first time for the duo to walk the ramp as a couple. She said, ‘Shibani was mainly my choice as she has been the eternal PS Muse and walked for my debut show at Lakme Fashion Week so it was only apt for her to walk for the 20-year anniversary show.’ The designer further added, ‘Since we have launched PS Men this year, it has been a dream to have Farhan as a PS Man. He has the cool boho vibe that our clothes have and is a dream showstopper to have.’
The designer Payal also said that the collection is having something more than citing the bohemian mode of life. In her statement, Payal said, ‘The original bohemians were really just artists who went against the norm. They were liberal thinkers and dressers; often drawn to bold colors, indigenous crafts, and textures. They also pioneered mixing and matching.’
Payal further added, ‘This forward-thinking mindset, deeply inspired by art and culture, has been the raison d’etre of the brand for two decades now.’ The designer collection of Payal comprises elements that are adapted from different architecture and other traditional cues from the crafts and bazaars of Turkey and Morocco. As per the latest reports, the Lakme Fashion Week will commence tomorrow i.e., from 21st August 2019, Wednesday.
