Hina Khan who became the only Indian Television Actress to grace the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year, dons another feather in her by becoming the first actress from Indian television to represent our country in the US.
The very beautiful Hina Khan looked extremely graceful in a saree. What a moment it was to watch Hina wave the Indian National Flag on India’s 73rd Independence Day at the Big Apple USA.
The actress shared a series of colorful photographs via her Instagram account. Hina took to the Insta and wrote: “”Representing your country is always a pleasure and if you get to do it in one of the most powerful countries of the world .. well , there can not be a privilege better than that !Holding the tricolour for my beloved country.. I endorse the idea that India is in the U.S.A and the idea it represents, humbly appreciate the warmth and inclusiveness of the people and this great atmosphere. Jai Hind ! Hindostan Zindabad! Always , humeshaa.”
While talking to the media before travelling to the US, Hina shared how excited she is to hoist the Indian flag in the USA. “Honestly, I was blown away. A lot of good things are happening whether it is this honour or the fact that I walked the Cannes red carpet. I am going to represent my country at the 73rd Independence Day celebration in New York. So, it feels great. “ said Hina who was overwhelmed to be a part of the event.
“It feels good but I also feel a lot of pressure. You know, it is easy to go global with your film or any other project but maintaining the tag of a global actor is a task and currently my focus is on the same.” Hina added.
