Model and TV actress Karishma Tanna started her career with popular TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Then she appeared in several TV serials like Kahi to Milenge, Koi Dil Mein Hai, Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, Viraasat, and many others. The actress was also seen in a few films including Grand Masti, Sanju, and Golu Aur Pappu. Her Bollywood debut was film Dosti: Friends Forever in 2005.
The actress was also the first runner-up of the reality TV show Bigg Boss season 8. She took part in a dance reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in its season 9. She is currently working in Bulgaria with Rohit Shetty for Khatron Ke Khiladi season 10.

Karishma played only a guest appearance in film Sanju. Talking about it, she had said, “Just the feeling of being a part of [filmmaker] Raju Hirani’s camp gives you a high. And I did [the film] only because of that. Also, sharing screen space with Vicky [Kaushal] and Ranbir [Kapoor] in that one scene, as an actor, you get to learn a lot. So, it was a brilliant setup and I have no feeling that I did it.”
The actress also said, “If you see, everyone had a guest appearance in the film, except Ranbir and Vicky, so I didn’t feel that I had a less important role. And it was a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, so people would come and go [in the plot]. It had an ensemble cast and not a one hero-heroine film.”
In the film, she plays the girlfriend of Vicky’s character but then has a fling with Sanju .
