After Sridevi’s sudden demise which took the whole nation by shock, here’s another bad news. Veteran actress Shammi aunty is no more. She was 89.
The actress was popularly known for her comic roles in movies like Coolie No 1, Hum, Gopi Kishan, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Karma and many more. The veteran actress had a long and successful filmy career for decades.
Shammi aunty also appeared on TV shows, especially on Doordarshan. Her famous TV shows include Dekh Bhai Dekh, Zabaan Sambhal Ke, Shriman Shrimati, Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh and Filmi Chakkar.
Popular fashion designer Sandeep Khosla took to social media early today to make the announcement by sharing a picture of the star.
Shammi Ji was quite close to veteran actress Asha Parekh and was mostly spotted hanging out with her.
Her cremation will take place today at 1 PM in Oshiwara, Mumbai.
