According to the latest reports, the Most Wanted Gangster of India, Dawood Ibrahim is willing to return to India. His brother Iqbal Kaskar’s lawyer has recently claimed that Dawood will come to India but only if his two conditions are met.
While speaking to Republic TV, Kaskar’s lawyer stated out the two conditions:
1- He told Ram Jethmalani very clearly that ‘you can talk to the Indian government. He wants Ram Jethmalani to be the mediator.
2- I am ready to come back. Regardless of where I am, I will come to Mumbai.’ They will arrest me, but I have a condition. Keep me at Arthur Road Jail. You can run any case against me.’
Kaskar’s lawyer was asked to confirm if Dawood is ready to surrender, to which he said, “He is prepared to come down to Mumbai and if they still have some case against him, he is prepared to face the charges but he must be kept only in Arthur Road jail.”
Ujjwal Nikam, Senior Public Prosecutor says, “This is not the first attempt that has been made by Dawood Ibrahim through his lawyer. I think we should not fall for this foul game. I am saying foul game because if at all Dawood Ibrahim wants to surrender then who apprehended him. Dawood Ibrahim can’t put any condition that in this condition I am ready to surrender. I am surprised to know that how his new lawyer says that he wants to surrender. This is all Bakwas. And I don’t believe such type of stories at all. Because now American is pressuring Pakistan. So this might be a game between ISI and concerned people to show that Dawood wants to return back to India. I don’t believe in this news. And it is a foolish story.
Dawood is currently said to be hiding in Pakistan from last few years. However, the authorities of Pakistan has been denying it constantly. Earlier reports said that he is suffering from ill-health. Dawood is accused of being the mastermind of 1993 Mumbai Blasts.
Dawood’s brother was arrested from Thane last year under the charges of extortion.
