The bold and beautiful actress, Priyanka Chopra who was selected as the brand ambassador for the Nirav Modi jewels by the owner Nirav Modi has now sued Mr Modi for non-payment of dues.
The Quantico actress claimed that the latter has still not paid for her ad campaign in Nirav Modi Jewels last year. She appeared in the advertisement along with Sidharth Malhotra. Modi jewels are known to be Bollywood’s top jeweller designing jewellery for many actresses and even to Hollywood stars including Kate Winslet and Dakota Johnson who walked the red carpet wearing Modi diamonds.
The actress had said in a statement back in January 2017 when she was appointed as the brand ambassador, “My association with Nirav Modi is like a meeting of minds in many ways. We are both fiercely proud of our heritage and are united by the idea of bringing a modern India to the global forefront. His jewels are one of a kind and effortless, with an understated elegance.”
Priyanka has done several advertisements for Nirav Modi jewels, including one with Siddharth Malhotra. Sidharth Malhotra is searching for legal options to get out of the deal with Nirav Modi. Before Priyanka, Lisa Haydon was also seen as the face of the brand.
While it is not new for Nirav Modi for being dragged into the court. On February 14, Punjab National Bank (PNB) reported a fraud scam of Rs 11,400 crore where Modi allegedly acquired fraudulent letters from PNB to secure overseas credit from other Indian banks.
