Well-known TV actress Shikha Singh, who is presently witnessed in popular show Kundali Bhagya, has lodged a cheating complaint against an event organizer for not making her payment for a show that took place in Africa.
This declaration has been made by a police official.
The police officer stated that the actress, who has worked in several small screens shows like Na Ana Is Des Lado, has stated that Deepak Chaturvedi, the organizer of events, has to make a payment of Rs 11.30 lakh for a show he arranged in Ghana in West Africa.
The police official said that Deepak had met Shikha Singh for the special event in Ghana in West Africa, which took place during the month of November 2017, and settled on a payment of Rs 12 lakh out of which Rs 70,000 was transferred before the show as an advance payment.
Shikha Singh told police officials that since the show, Deepak Chaturvedi has been allegedly avoiding her and was not making the remaining payment.
Officials added that Chitalsar police officials here had lodged a case under section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code and examinations were in progress.
When questioned by the police officials, the charged Chaturvedi stated, “I was only the mediator. The Ghana-based organiser did not make the payment, so I cancelled the event. But in November, he said he will pay her R11.3 lakh when she lands in Ghana. When she arrived, I asked her to not go on stage because her payment was pending. I had informed her on WhatsApp, but no one responded.”
Shikha Singh is recognized for her characters as Amba in ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’ and as Shikhandini in ‘Mahabharat’. At present, Shikha Singh is acting in ‘Kundali Bhagya’.
