It takes a lot of pain while narrating this heart-wrenching incident where a woman from Chhattisgarh’s Bastar must be feeling so unhelpful because of her poverty.
The poor lady had to donate her deceased son’s body to Jagdalpur Medical College only because she had no money to transport his mortal remains back to the village and also to perform the last rites.
Also, no one from stepped forward to help their family, said the sister-in-law of the deceased.
She told ANI, “We are very poor and will not be able to do anything by taking a dead body. A person at the hospital suggested us to donate the body.”
She further added, “The in-charge of the medical college mortuary, Mangal Singh also claimed that the family was very poor and that he had “asked them to donate the body to the medical college if they want.”
As per the reports, the deceased named Baaman, was hit by an unidentified vehicle on 12th February. He was immediately taken to a hospital but could not be saved and breathed his last on 15th February.
Well, this was really bad that the family couldn’t even perform the last rites due to the lack of money.
