Priyanka Chopra is all set for the release of her next flick The Sky is Pink. The actress recently wrapped up the shoot of her upcoming film and revealed some interesting facts at the wrap-up party. Earlier, Salman and his fans mocked the actress for opting out from acting in the film Bharat. She rejected this film a few days before the commencement of the shooting.
The actress opened up about the same at the wrap-up party of The Sky Is Pink. To make her comeback into Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra selected to act in the film under the direction of Shonali Bose. The video wherein Priyanka Chopra opened up the reason went viral across social media. When she was trying to explain the reason, the members of the team standing next to her started to laugh.
The actress said, ‘everyone questions my judgment – why not this tent-pole, potboiler, song and dance film and why am I playing a mother…’ She further said that she played the role of a 62-year old woman in Saat Khoon Maaf. The reason for accepting the film The Sky is Pink is that she had great belief in Shonali and her vision.
When the actress was asked to name the potboiler, the members around her started laughing and she didn’t do so. Even, the actress started laughing along with them. She said that she was actually speaking in a general sense. During an interview, Salman said, ‘She spoke to me saying, ‘Nick (American actor-singer Nick Jonas) has proposed to me and I want to get married, so there will be some date issues’. I said, ‘Sure, get married; we can adjust those two, three days. Then she said that she does not want to do the film.’
He then said, ‘She has had a huge struggle in her career before she went on to become this super achiever. If she decided to leave everything and get married, it is amazing. She is the most professional person there is. Just check out her life graph. She’s the girl who came from Bareilly, went on to win a beauty pageant and become Miss World.’ However, the film Bharat is already released and received a positive response from the audience. Now, it’s time for Priyanka Chopra’s film to get released.
