Mohra film’s song Tip Tip Barsa Paani holds a very special place for every 90s kid. The yellow saree that Raveena Tandon wore in the song as she danced in the rain with Akshay cast a spell that is yet to be broken. Though, recently the actor announced that he is all set to recreate the iconic song for Rohit Shetty’s film Sooryavanshi.

Akshay Kumar, the Baby actor took to Twitter and wrote, “I would’ve definitely been disappointed if any other actor would’ve recreated Tip Tip Barsa Paani, a song which has been synonymous with me & my career & I can’t thank Ratan Jain ji enough. Fans were however not pleased to see this tweet and were quick to point out that the real star of the song was Raveena Tandon and her sizzling moves. One fan even wrote, “Akki we love you but for once don’t forget to give the due credit to Raveena. The song was a hit not just because of you. Also I was not a huge fan of Raveena but Katrina can never recreate what she did”.
I had to go back and watch #TipTipBarsaPaani again to remember that Akshay Kumar was in it but I still couldn’t notice him in it though…

Tip Tip Barsa Paani is the iconic song which was a part of 1994 film Mohra, the film also featured Naseeruddin Shah, Suniel Shetty in pivotal roles.

On the work front, Akshay was last seen in the box office blockbuster Kesari. He is currently preparing for Rohit Shetty’s cop drama film Sooryavanshi. It is being produced by Rohit and Karan Johar under their banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions respectively and it also stars Katrina Kaif.
