Happy Birthday Atal Bihari Vajpayee! This Former PM Gave Some Valuable Gifts To India

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister Of India was born on the auspicious day of Christmas 25th December, 1924. Just like all of us expect gifts from Santa Claus on the eve of Christmas, this former PM has also given Indian politics a lot of valuable gifts.

Atal Bihari tasted lots of success in his political career which no one has ever achieved. This is the result that he has got a lot of respect in our country.

Being a PM, the way he handled the government of the country, people are still praising for the same.

He was such a good orator that not just the citizens but even the opposition party people used to listen to him.

Because of his excellent speaking abilities, he was awarded as the best Member of Parliament on 17th August 1994.

Vajpayee became the PM of India not once or twice but thrice. Yes, you heard it right! The first time was way back in 1996 when BJP emerged as the single largest party in the Lok Sabha General Elections. However, after noticing that he couldn’t win the majority, he resigned from the post after 13 days.

He is by far the only non-Congress Prime Minister to have served the Government for a full period of 5 years.

He is not only a good orator but also a fabulous poet. Former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was so impressed that he had predicted that Atal Bihari Vajpayee will definitely become a PM in future. Nehruji had also offered him to join Congress.

Vajpayee is referred to as the Bhishma Pitamah of Indian Politics as he was elected to the Rajya Sabha 2 times and to the Lok Sabha 9 times. Whoa!

He was the first Prime Minister of our country and the first External Affairs Minister who had delivered speech in Hindi at the United Nations.

Here’s wishing this famous personality of our country a very happy birthday!
