Congress President Rahul Gandhi always manages to be in news, but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. While he should be an icon for the population of India, he is, instead, mocked and laughed at all the time. He is currently in Meghalaya to start the election campaign for upcoming elections in the state.
30th Jan marks the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. And therefore, a musical program called “Celebration of Peace” was organised of which Rahul Gandhi too was a part.

Rahul attended the program wearing a black jacket worth Rs 70,000. He did not know that he would again be trolled badly.
Have a closer looker at his expensive jacket.
Immediately, Meghalaya unit of BJP took use of the opportunity and did whole research on his jacket. On their official Twitter handle, they posted the picture of Rahul Gnadhi from the event and paired it with original jacket and price and wrote,“So OfficeOfRG , soot(pun intended!)-boot ki sarkar with ‘black’ money fleeced from Meghalayan State exchequer by rampant corruption? Instead of singing away our woes, you could have given a report card of your inefficient govt in Meghalaya! Your indifference mocks us!”

This jacket is from Burberry, a British luxury fashion brand and its cost on the website of Bloomingdales is approx Rs 70,000
This wasn’t an out of the blue target. in fact, it came out as a reaction on Rahul’s jibe at the Modi government with the comment of “suit-boot ki sarkar” which he made when PM Modi wore a monogrammed suit for his meeting with Barack Obama, the President of the USA in 2015. The cost of PM Modi’s suit was reported to be Rs. 11 lakhs and it was auctioned for Rs. 4.31 crores.
In no time, Rahul became the target of Tweeps. Have a look at some tweets:
Sanghis are falsely accusing Rahul Gandhi for wearing Rs 70,000+ jacket. He actually bought it from Pappu Garments, Palika Bazaar for just Rs 300. Here is the proof. pic.twitter.com/DrczPhvrO1

Congress who always cry over @narendramodi & blaming as #SuitBootSarkar and now their leader #RahulGandhi is wearing Burberry’s Jacket worth $995 (Rs 64000 approx) only

Rahul Gandhi in a thousand dollar Burberry quilted jacket. Reminds me of Sonia Gandhi’s sable coat which was refitted by Fendi. Self-validation by @OfficeOfRG of his cheesy “1% of India’s population gets 73% of its wealth” comment. #PakoraTales pic.twitter.com/xJ0eRcjsX5

Someone has rightly said, ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’. And here I recall another saying in Hindi- ‘Jiske ghar sheeshe k hote hai, vo doosre k gharon par patthar nhi phenkte’.
Do you agree?
