Deepika Admits She Was Paid More Than Ranveer And Shahid For Padmaavat

Padmaavat was initially titled as Padmavati and was slated to release on December 1, 2017. But due to constant protest by Rajput groups and ban by various state governments, the movie was pushed to January 25 and was titled as Padmaavat.

Much has been talked about equal pay and Deepika had also faced many questions about her fees for Padmaavat. Deepika was present at Neha Dhupia’s show where she was as a guest along with her sister Anisha Padukone and she answered the question about her fees smartly.

On the show’s ‘Say It or Strip It’ segment, Neha asked Deepika: “How much were you paid for Padmaavat?” To which Deepika chose to strip her earrings instead as her answer.

“Were you paid more than Ranveer and Shahid?,” Neha asked, to which Deepika said: “Yes.”

Earlier as well, Deepika was asked about her fees but she presented the press with a diplomatic answer. “Talking about my remuneration isn’t exciting. But I am proud and confident about the money I get. You are comfortable with what you are paid. But what makes me happy is that they have invested so much money in a film which has a poster featuring me on it….That makes me proud,” Deepika had said.
