Deepika is the only Indian actor to find a spot in TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people list this year. Apart from Deepika, this year’s most influential people list includes big names like Meghan Markle, Oprah Winfrey, Satya Nadella, Virat Kohli and others.
Excited about her achievement, Deepika said to a leading daily, “Honestly, I have never really believed in self-acknowledgement. Instead, I have always looked ahead (in life). But I must admit that today, I do feel a small sense of achievement. It is humbling to be acknowledged for the work that you do, and so, it’s my absolute honour to be part of this prestigious list alongside such incredible achievers.”
