Vicky Kaushal is all set for his upcoming release ‘Shaheed Udham Singh’. Even the first look of the movie was released by the project’s director Shoojit Sircar yesterday. The first look of Vicky Kaushal from the flick received positive response from the audience as well as from his previous movie co-stars.
Vicky’s Manmarziyan co-stars Taapsee Pannu was one among them who reacted to the first look. She reacted in a funny way for the first look and shared a message on her Twitter handle.

Reacting to the first look of Udham Singh shared by director Shoojit Sircar, Taapsee Pannu wrote, “I kept telling @ShoojitSircar and @ronnielahiri I can be quite good at playing Udham Singh! But now that they have found @vickykaushal09 I think he will do a decent job For all the favourites in one team I’m gonna wait for this.” Replying to Taapsee Ronnie Lahiri wrote, “He’s trying to match up to your standards”, to which Taapsee continued as she tweeted, “Tell him to keep trying ! Vicky’s reply is much-awaited here. All the fans of Vicky are waiting for his reply to Taapsee’s tweet. Meanwhile, it is heard that Vicky was not the first choice of Shoojit for the lead role, it is Irrfan Khan in first place. In an interview, he said, “There’s a burning intensity and anger that I saw in his eyes during our first meeting itself, that convinced me he was the one right man to play Udham.” The movie is a real life story of Udham Singh who belongs to Punjab. As Vicky also hails from the same state, it’s a huge responsibility for him too.
