Alipore Court issues arrest warrant against Mohammed Shami; BCCI announces prompt decision

As per latest but shocking news, an arrest warrant has been issued against Indian pacer Mohammed Shami with regard to a domestic violence case.

The report added that Alipore court has issued the same against the ace cricket personality and his brother Hasid Ahmed.

As per some reliable sources, the Indian fast bowler has been given only 15 days to surrender and thereby apply for a bail.

In the year 2018, his wife Hasin Jahan had accused the pacer of domestic violence and also lodged a complaint at the police station. Shami together with his brother was booked under the IPC Section 498A.

But, the BCCI has responded regarding this issue and said that there will be no action taken against Mohammed Shami until they are able to see the charge sheet filed against him.

BCCI said that they are aware about the arrest warrant that has been issued against Mohammed Shami, but they are not at all in a position to get involved in the issue at this point of time.

BCCI stated that once they see the charge sheet, they would be able to decide on various aspects and see whether the constitution of BCCI will be eligible for calling any action or not.

But as per the BCCI, this time is too early for them to make any decisions related to the matter.

Mohammed Shami is currently an integral part of the Indian cricket team that is on the tour to the West Indies and is also playing in the second Test match against the West Indies in Kigston, Jamaica.

Mohammed Shami also achieved the credit for taking 150 wickets in his test match career during the second test against the West Indies during India’s ongoing tour.

He was also very much instrumental in India’s campaign in the recently concluded 2019 World Cup cricket held in England and he had taken 14 wickets in just four matches that included a hat-trick against the Afghanistan team. But, the recent news about his arrest warrant really seems to have disappointed his fans.
