83% Indian Millennials Ready to Switch Jobs, Salary Hike Is The Biggest Concern

No salary hike means no more job change. Indian millennials become money oriented and will only change the job if they get a salary hike.

As per the recent reports, 83 percent employees – aged between 25 to 34 years – would consider switching jobs for a salary hike.

This survey has been conducted by Indeed(a global job website) and says, “more than 80 percent of respondents agreed that they would consider changing their jobs in order to secure a pay rise. Meanwhile, many respondents said that they only accept the new or alternative offer in any other company only after the pay raise.

If the company will not increase the pay, then almost 60% employee wants flexible work hours as an alternative, while 47 % recommended an increase in annual leave.

According to the Managing Director Of Indeed, “While wage growth continues to be the leading priorities for employees, it is imperative on part of organizations to ensure that employee expectations are met.”

Sashi Kumar further added, “millennial job seekers, in particular, are today exploring highly aspirational career paths, and are not afraid of seeking greener pastures and newer experiences to further their professional goals and widen their horizons.”

The study was directed by Censuswide, a UK-based review consultancy, on 2005 workers from organizations crosswise over different parts like IT, telecom, instruction, assembling and utilities, fund, and social insurance.
