102-Year-Old Indian Woman Wins Gold Medal In 200m At World Masters Athletics

We often refuse to do certain things with an excuse of ‘Ab Umar nikal gyi’. We do not realise that it is not our age but our will power that defines what we are and what we want to do in our lives. Recently, a 102-year-old woman won Gold in 200m at World Masters Athletics and proved that age is just a number.

The lady named Man Kaur has already won several competitions in her entire career and even after the age of 100, there’s no stopping for her. The reason behind her fitness even after this age is her discipline in her way of living.

Milind Soman took to Twitter to tweet about this woman and wrote, “LOOK AT THAT SMILE !!! Man Kaur from India wins the 200m GOLD in the World Masters Athletics #WMAMalaga2018. Age group 100- 104 years!! What a privilege for every person in the world to see her in action and to share her joy.”

People couldn’t stop praising her for fitness, her will-power, and her achievements.

Let’s have a look at how people are reacting:

A twitter user wrote, “Wait. Won the 100-104 year old event? Was anyone else running? lol. Sorry. I won’t make it to 60 if I’m lucky. Truly inspirational in a time of great negativity.”  Well, we agree to him.

Man Kaur hails from Patiala, Punjab. She started her career at the age of 93 after getting encouraged by her 78-year-old son who also participated in World Masters Athletics. This event is considered as a Olympics for Senior Citizens.

Man Kaur is the oldest Indian female athlete.

In a video shared by History TV 18, Her sons mentioned that she did not have any health problems. They said, “When she ran for the first time, she completed a 100 metres track in one minute and on second.”

The lady is an inspiration to not only elder people, but to today’s young generation as well.

Anyway, what’s your excuse now?
