The critics may have panned multi-starrer movie Total Dhamaal but the film is going too well with the audience. When the movie got released, in its very first week, Ajay Devgn’s movie had done exceptional business at the box office. Within 5 days of its release, the movie has earned Rs 81 crore.

Taran Adarsh has also estimated that the film will perhaps cross Rs 92 crore in its first week and cross the 100 crore mark during its second weekend. Dhamaal is already a hit franchise and fans loved the latest part also. This movie also stars Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey and Sanjay Mishra among others. Having the same storyline, this film has worked more on VFX this time.

Giving one and a half star to Total Dhamaal, the Indian Express critic Shubhra Gupta had mentioned in her review, “Brainless comedies can be a lot of fun (brain, stop smirking), but they need to be written with smarts. Here, the CGI animals (the climactic chunk of the film is set in a zoo) have more effect than the humans. A rhino’s horn becomes a pointed spear for falling backsides. A chimp and an elephant are used to give us lessons on kindness. And a roaring tiger becomes the emblem of Gujju pride, with a character saying: a Gandhi chased the Brits away, and the one we have now will conquer all. Clap clap. Pandering to the powers that be? Oh, fully.”

Ravindra Jain, the visually-impaired yet very talented musician, and singer made a dominating presence in the Music Industry. He was born visually challenged, but his talent made him watch everything. The man was born on 28th February in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh.

He had 7 siblings including him as third oldest among all. At the tender age of 4, he was inclined towards music and started taking up the music training. Later he became a music teacher and reached Kolkata. He learned bhajans and poetry by famous Jain poets such as Pandit Dyanantraiji, Pandit Budhjanji at nearby Jain temples. It were his parents that first took the decision of teaching him music.

Talking about his parents, he was born to Sanskrit scholar and Ayurvedacharya, Pandit Indramani Jain and mother Kiran Jain. He got his basic training under Pandit G.L. Jain, Pandit Janardhan Sharma, and Pandit Nathu Ram. But his breakthrough into movies was in 1960 in Kolkata. Finally, in 1972, Jain started his filmy career and composed his first song ever being recorded in Mohd. Rafi’s voice.

Parsi Kids Collected 15,000 Vessels And Utensils For Charity In Just 3 Hours

A group of energized youngsters from wealthy Parsi family units ran a non-literal “marathon” to help their less blessed friends Sunday. The little ones who are 5-15 years old gathered 14,758 kitchen vessels in just three hours and disseminated them to tribal and impoverished households.

These kids are partnered with an NGO named Extremely Young Zoroastrians and most live in Parsi Baugs.

They compared the activity to a long distance race in three hours which is the time they used for gathering utensils. Additionally, the marathon traverses 42 km which is likewise the separation, the drive equalled from Colaba to Thane.

But we do one big annual drive like this which makes children realise that they can make a difference without even spending money,” Hoshaang said.

This is their fifth year. “In the first year we assembled a Blessings Bag. I asked the kids to fill a bag with any item they were not using, like a toy, game or shoes. We got 1,500 bags between 300 children. The following year we collected 12,000 pairs of shoes. Children outgrow shoes very fast,” he said.

Stone carver Arzan Khambatta will form a model out of the unusable vessels and sale it. The returns will be utilized to purchase new utensils for those families that were forgotten Sunday.

On Sunday, Australia won by a thrilling three-wicket win over India at the first T20I at Visakhapatnam. The game went down, after Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins kept their nerve and scored 14 runs in the final over, bowled by Umesh Yadav. By opening the match first by Aussie skipper Aaron Finch, India finished with a below-par score of 126 for the loss of 7 wickets. Till the time the top scores came up as KL Rahul 50 (36), Dhoni 29 (37), and Virat Kohli 24 (17). For such a bad outing, MS Dhoni was criticized a lot on Twitter.

While Dhoni’s 29 did help India steady itself for the match but Australia scored the winning runs on the last ball of the match, made his innings stick out like a sore thumb. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has somehow managed to win our hearts with his kind-hearted gestures many times. Recently, Modi washed off the feet of the sanitation workers who have been working tirelessly during the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

PM Modi also took a holy dip and took blessing in Sangam. On 24th February, PM Modi arrived in Prayagraj where UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received him.

Taking to Twitter, Narendra Modi shared a video and captioned it as, “Had the good fortune of taking a holy dip at the #Kumbh. Prayed for the well being of 130 Crore Indians.”

On Saturday, World Cup gold medallist Apurvi Chandela broke the world record to bring India’s first gold medal at the ISSF World Cup 2019. The 26 years old shooter shot 252.9 in exciting 10m Women Air Rifle finale to bag the Gold on Day 1 of the tournament at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.

Talking about the competition with Anjum Moudgil, Elavenil Valarivan and Mehuli Ghosh in this event, Apurvi said, “All of them coming up is actually good for the sport. I needed to push myself further and I have been performing consistently since the last year”.

“I looked at it in a way that I get motivated, push myself harder, I can’t settle down at any score, there is no satisfaction that I think can take from it. That’s actually a good thing for me. It keeps me motivated.”

When asked about the 2018 World Cup final in Munich, Apurvi said, “In Munich World Cup, I was leading and I came fourth. I was just coming down and it was a freak shot, the trigger just got pressed, it wasn’t a malfunction or anything.

“But I am happy that I could overcome that and did not let that get into my way today. I actually beat my own self in a way,” she said about the outing in which a 5.9 dashed her hopes. To improve trigger control, Apurvi said she does a “lot of meditation and visualisation practises”.

“It’s a long process which I have been working on. It was just pressure handling. To get better, I had to push myself. Earlier, I used to take less time and shoot early, but now I take a little longer to settle down a bit.”

In finals on Saturday, talking about the last shots she said, “I was just trying to control my nerves, nerves do play a big role. I just asked myself to stay calm as it was a matter of few more shots.”

Her mother Bindu who represented Rajasthan in the basketball game travels with her for training as well as competitions, including abroad. Bindu said, “Being a sportsperson myself, I understand the situation better when I am around her. You know I never have high expectations and all”.

Talking more about the game and the audience, Apurvi said, “I wasn’t maybe in the centre but I do not usually plan my scoring like that. I think, at the start, my positioning was a little off. So, I tweaked my settings a bit. My aim was not to shoot a 10.1 in the first shot definitely but I am happy that I could build up and reach a world record,” said Apurvi.

“The last one month I am working really hard on finals and qualifications also. And even in January, I have gone abroad for open competitions. I won a gold there as well, so I took confidence and that competition helped me today in handling pressure.”

When asked about the noisy crowd, she said, “Actually the crowd was motivating me and I could hear ‘India, India’. It helped me in sticking to my technique and executing each shot the way I wanted to.

“The pressure was there definitely, I am happy I could control it and execute.”

She has placed herself in the 2020 Olympics and said, “When I got my quota also, the aim was not to get the quota only, it was just about following my technique and putting whatever I trained into use. I was focussed on every shot, keeping my calm.”
