Respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on October 01, forwarded heartiest greetings to the country’s President Ram Nath Kovind on his 73rd birth anniversary.
On his Twitter, PM Modi tweeted, “Best wishes to Rashtrapati Ji on his birthday. India has benefitted greatly from his wisdom and perspectives on various subjects. He has connected wonderfully with every section of our society. I pray for his long and healthy life.”

Kovind became part of Presidential office on July 2, 2017, as the 14th President of India.
During his long public profession, Ram Nath Kovind has traveled widely crosswise the nation. He turned out to be the first Indian president to channel three successive state visits to Africa, as per the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Ram Nath Kovind has also paid a visit to Pakistan, Nepal, France, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States in his capacity as a Member of Parliament.

During his term as Bihar’s Governor, Kovind has emerged as a follower of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s strategy of prohibition. During the Republic Day gathering last year, Kovind acclaimed the state administration for enforcing total prohibition in Bihar.
Kovind stated, “Bihar has laid a strong foundation stone for social change by implementing complete prohibition in the state. With the cooperation of all, prohibition has turned into a campaign for social change. Socio-economic conditions of people have improved considerably since enforcement of prohibition on 5 April last year. Decline in domestic violence, disputes in family and other crimes have been noticed.”
He added that “higher education in Bihar was on the brink of collapse,” a sturdy report particularly considering that since he is Governor he is also the chancellor of universities in Bihar.
